On the subject of fate .. yes .. I believe that others are put into our path for a reason. How does that go? Some for a season .. some for a reason ..
Most often we are in need of healing. Something amiss in our body, heart or soul. Sometimes we just need a friend. Someone to hold us until we can make it on our own. Sometimes it’s a transition, preparation, help getting to the other side .. whatever the other side might be.
It might be as long as an electrical impulse, perhaps a few minutes, maybe a day .. As Janis (Joplin) said (and I don’t know if this is right) ..
“.. you ain’t got 365 days .. you got ONE day .. that one day better be your LIFE .. you can cry about the other 364 but you’re gonna lose that one day .. if you got it today you don’t wear it tomorrow .. you don’t need it .. (as we learned on the train.. ) tomorrow never comes .. it’s all the same fucking day”
Quite often we confuse it. Muddy it up with lust. Weigh it down with emotion. Expectations – whether expressed or not. Commitments.
Sometimes we push people away because they are different than we perceive ourselves to be,
When we come to understand that we are all a part of one we begin to see things in a different light.
Light .. like warm sunshine. Light. The absence of weight. We can’t be light if we are burdened by weight.
When Fate .. God .. the Universe intercedes, I think we need to just take it as it is for whatever duration it is and when it’s done let it go .. the season has ended .. the lesson learned.
